A fine pair of Bristols
After a two hour train journey from London Paddington station I arrive at Bristol Temple Meads station ready for a weekend away from London with my friends – an eclectic group of fellow adventurers from Australia, New Zealand and England.
We checked in to our 12-bunk dorm at the centrally located Rock and Bowl Hostel, complete with its own bowling lanes and nightclub, and planned the evening’s adventures.
After a few Thatchers ciders we eventually made our way to Stokes Croft passing vibrant murals and three dimensional street art along the way.
We settled in at The Canteen, a live music venue and cafe/bar serving locally sourced, affordable food.
The beer garden features the Mild mild west mural by the infamous Banksy – a native Bristolian.
